Blessed Beginnings strives to employ people who are qualified to fill the needs of the children in our care and are able to complete essential job duties, therefore we are looking for candidates with child care experience in some capacity. Candidates are chosen based on information provided within their resume. As a STAR rated facility, we are looking for candidates who: hold a degree in ECE, are enrolled in an ECE or CDA program, or are interested in furthering their career by enrolling in the CDA program.

We will interview candidates who are in the ECE program within their high school. These candidates, however, will only be considered for part-time employment and will not be offered a lead position until they have graduated and are 18 years of age.

6/2026 - Pre-K Counts Assistant teacher position

The Pre-K Counts assistant teacher is the member of the teaching team with a minimum Associates degree in ECE, child development or related field (or working on a Bachelor’s degree in another field) and documented 2500 hours working with children

The assistant teacher is a member of the teaching team who shares responsibility with the lead teacher for the care and education of an assigned group of children. She/he is responsible for implementing the daily program activities, curriculum, supervising children, communicating with parents, and providing a healthy and safe environment for children. An assistant teacher will actively participate with other members of the teaching team to produce plans for the children, work with the parents and assess the needs of individual children. She/he will perform diapering, feeding, “housekeeping” and general care of children in the room. The assistant teacher fulfills the Lead teacher’s role when the lead teacher is not present in the classroom. Assistant teachers will be assigned a classroom, however, could be required to perform other duties as specified by the director or acting director.
